Springvale Historical Society Excursion

On Monday morning our class went to the Springvale Historical Society and the cenotaph to learn about ANZAC day.

First we walked down to the Historical Society. Colin, who works at the society, met us and took us into the room with all the war memorabilia.

Then Colin talked about the ANZACS and some people even got to try on the soldiers’ uniforms. We then walked around and looked at the medals and uniforms.

Next we walked over to the cenotaph to lay the wreath that our class had made to remember the soldiers.image

Finally we walked back to school feeling very tired. We learnt many things about ANZAC Day.
